About

When Jason “Fayze” and Berto “BdBusiness” decided to branch away from their original record label and start up their own, it wasn’t exactly an ideal setting all around. Having grown up around music, Fayze was familiar with engineering, but hadn’t learned the transition into Digital just yet. BdBusiness was working hard on developing as a writer/rapper and as he toured with Rock band, Hara, he felt a hint of what stardom was like and developed confidence in performing. Recruited Producer/Co-Founder Jus’Sam was busy working with a non for profit organization called Street Level, where he was teaching kids how to produce and make beats, and on his own time managed to make the kind of music that an up-and-coming artist only hopes to get at GoodLife Music. In a moment of anger due to downfalls, hesitation due to lack of resources and inspiration due to non-believers they created their sanctuary. Only a week after separating from the other label, they had their studio. In the words of Fayze “we harnessed the negativity and surpassed it”. A little ironic that from all this negativity came the name GoodLife Music Group.
